Ban Huai Yang
Ban Huai Yang is a village, located approximately 20km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan. You can reach Ban Huai Yang from Bangkok, Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan by train, bus, car or taxi. Ban Huai Yang is a picturesque and untouched fishing village with mile long sandy beaches and crystal clear water. You can spend all day on the beach, where there are sun beds and parasols, restaurants and massage service. Since there are no big industries here, there is no pollution, which is a reason why Huai Yang is a pure sleeping beauty. The population of Huai Yang is approximately 3000. During some periods of the year, when the foreign property owners are enjoying their vacation, the population reaches almost 4000.
Almost every day there are markets in different places in the village. It is nice to be able to buy fresh vegetables and fruits at very low prices.
For people who want to enjoy a quiet life in a genuine Thai atmosphere, among kind people with smiling faces, Ban Huai Yang is the right place to be — especially, if you have small children, or if you are a person who wants to experience a country lifestyle and relaxed atmosphere without stress or a lot of cars.

Shops. There are several shops in the village. POP-shop is a little supermarket, which has a section of European and Swedish products/food, and offers free delivery.
There is also a shop called Express, which is open almost around the clock. Next to this shop you will find a cash point.
Internet cafes. If you did not connect your Thai home to Internet you can always use the internet cafes, which are widely available. It is very cheap to use Internet – 20 bath per hour.
Laundry. It is also very cheap to use a laundry service, so you do not need to purchase a washing machine in order to do your laundry. Usually, it takes 2-3 days to get the clothes back.
Taxi and rent a car, motorbikes, scooters, bicycles and tuk-tuk services. You can rent all these vehicles — even per day.
Scandinavian center. In Ban Huai Yang village more than 600 European families – mostly Scandinavians — enjoy their second home. It is pleasant to sometimes meet other people of your own nationality, to be able to read the newspapers from your country, or eat food which you are used to. In that case the Chang Coner — the Scandinavian center is the perfect place for you. It is a local meeting point for European people. Here you can trim your body in an air-conditioned gym with advanced machines. You can also enjoy a relaxing massage session. After that you can always order a cup of nice coffee and kanelbullar – Swedish cinnamon buns.

Garden center. If you need help with your garden you can always ask the nearest garden center. There are many of them and you can get a good advice there.
Pharmacy. In POP-shop there is a local pharmacy.

Next to the motorway you will find a local police station.
On the main street of Ban Huai Yang there is a tailor, several head dressers, a furniture shop, a car service shop, hardware store and more.
